1st Strife [Text]

[After the first initial shock of finding himself on the wonderful world of Pokémon, because, seriously, that's the last place Bro expected to end up after what happened to him, he takes the time to check his belongings and he is far from amused.

Remember how you can't bring weapons to Johto? Well...]

wow really hysterical guys, my face is contorting with laughter over here.
seriously the sound of my laugh is echoing all over this shitty three buildings large town.
someone call the paramedics before i run out of air.

[Bro pauses his typying, eyes the oversized praying mantis standing by his side and continues.]

look i can understand stripping me from my sword. don't want anyone running around with swords and vandalizing buildings or destroying the lovely scenery.
totally can follow you people on that.
and i know you guys tried to compensate for this mess giving me this insect with blades for hands and ok it was a nice gesture. not looking a gift horse in the mouth and all that.
there is just one tiny little thing which just goddamn baffles me though.
i would like to know where the fuck is Cal.
because this sure as shit isn't funny.

[It just so happens Johto took Lil' Cal, Bro's prized puppet, away from him, because, really, that thing is a menace in his hands. And you know Cal is important because his name is capitalized. Needless to say, he isn't pleased by that.]

now whoever has him has exactly five minutes to bring him to me.
otherwise i'll have to tell blossom here to re-arrange this entire town.

[And he means it (although he doesn't know his Scyther can't actually destroy New Bark, he's just assuming it because GIANT PRAYING MANTIS WITH BLADES FOR HANDS). Someone better tell him Cal isn't a thing that exists in Johto and that no one actually "stole" it from him. Watch this full grown man slowly freak out when he realizes Cal is no more.]

Unfortunately you are correct on all accounts.
If Cal isn't here, he was likely left behind.
tentacletrainer: (I'll admit it. That was clever.)

It's likely better that you didn't burn it down either way.
The police force doesn't really appreciate such outbursts.
Essentially yes.
You're in New Bark, so your first ideal course of action would be to reach Cherrygrove so you may stock up on supplies.
Winter is coming and it's quite harsh here.
If you leave to the north, you'll find Route 29. Follow along that and you'll reach the sleepy town.
You should have a physical copy of the Johto map in your backpack as well as a digital one available on your Pokegear - the item you are currently communicating through.
Stocking up on supplies also includes capturing other Pokemon to add to your team so that you have a diverse combination of abilities at your disposal.
For instance a Water type can generate clean water for you to use, while a Fire type offers warmth.

Considering Pokemon is a franchise that was aimed at the younger crowd, tempting us with early morning cartoons, video games and collectable trading cards, that's no surprise really.
